Let’s have a chat shall we?!

For starters, I don’t have the slightest accent, even though I technically am a Brit. I ♥ my birthplace, the culture and atmosphere of UK life and it’s influence is interwoven throughout the things I do and say.

Secondly, a day never truly feels as if it started without having a cup of my signature Mummy Mocha™

(the union of caffeine, cocoa and cinnamon is my little piece of morning bliss).

I am an introvert and large crowds exhaust me! That being said, I love human interaction (in smaller doses). You learn so much about yourself when you learn about others.

My most important tidbit is this - in order to be truly inclusive, you must realize it starts with fully accepting yourself:

  • I observe Shabbat, the biblical feast days and study the parshas - I am not Jewish

  • I believe in the birth, death and resurrection of Yeshua / Jesus and the triune nature of God - I do not hate anyone who does not share my biblical views

  • I am a heterosexual female - I do not hate the LGBTQ+ community

  • I love children! I have four of my own - I am not JUST a baby maker with no other goals

  • I ♥ and wear my hair naturally textured - I am not anti-chemical and there is always a possibility that I’ll change it up (especially my colour!)

  • I am black and believe that Black lives do matter, in protecting all human rights against injustice, police brutality, racism, genocide…the list goes on - I am not anti-White or anyone else

  • I am a married women who believes in protecting women’s rights, their freedoms, regardless of age, relationship status, or religious affiliation and ending rape culture - I am not anti-men

I hope that I never stop limiting myself to check marks on boxes, because there is no one size fits all. Maybe if we stopped emphasizing when people around us do not fit into a specific category, we’ll see we never did either and realize that in order to grow and progress intrapersonally and collectively, we should start viewing those differences as opportunities to share and relate with one another.

I’m just me. You be you and let’s see where the conversation takes us when the basis for it is LOVE ~ Chantai
