Time to Check-in
“Living your best life begins when and where you are” - I said to Chantai
This isn’t advice I just give to others. It’s what I say to myself over and over whenever I feel like I’m settling or in a rut.
Do you ever just feel lost? With so much going on, both on and offline, it can feel as if we’re over-saturated with noise.
It took a little over a 3-month period to detox from the noise to get to a clean slate where I could think clearly about what I wanted for myself - I’ll get to more on that at a later date.
Now, I’m not saying I’ve reached the figurative goal as of this point. That’s exactly why I’m here documenting things, to be transparent in the journey of development and growth.
Where I am is on track. Not making excuses about why I’m not where I need to be or why I can’t do it now.
I just turned 35 years old! I’m a college freshman, momma to four kiddies aged 2 through 10, wife to a self employed hubby, balancing schedules and daycare and homework and “home work” and a job on top of that, just to give you an idea.
If you want to ask me how I do it all, my answer is with great FAITH and even greater PATIENCE not only in God, but myself and those around me.
Since entering my 30’s, I’ve been embarking on a journey of going back to basics with happiness as the goal…and surprisingly much of it has been met through candid talks with others.
That’s why I started this journal. Even though it’s impossible to keep a constant check in with everyone this allows me to communicate virtually with others who may be in the same place. I hope you’ll be back to visit me soon.
